I see her grey eyes gleam and quiver Like the morning dew on a misty window As two raindrops make a rapid river Tears flow down her cheek and onto her pillow I see her hair tousled in every which way I watch as she covers it atop her face Hiding from another dark dismal day With other sad people in another sad place I see her lifeless lips lay still and quiet But soon enough the bright sleeping birds shall stir And with them, their morning song will riot And break her restraint whilst chirping comfort to her Again though, I shall see her gleaming grey eyes That from the bright bird’s morning song brings anew Her tears will dry by the warming sunrise Along with the misty window’s dark nightly dew
